Background: My teaching experience goes back as far as high school where I taught in my teacher's studio in Greenville, SC. At the Univ. of South Carolina I studied and worked under Max Camp, noted author and pedagogue.

Recent continuing education has included 30 hours of Brain Gym training and 30 hours of Musikgarten training and reading in the area of music learning theory.
Qualifications: Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy, USC
Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy, USC
Associations: National Music Teachers Association
North Carolina Music Teachers Association
Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum
Testimonials: Adult student:
I am so grateful to you. I was just thinking this week after my lesson that what we did with this piece ("Seascape") is EXACTLY what I hoped
to do musically. That is, you helped me learn this piece. Then, we took it and "gave it life"! I would not have known how to apply all of those musical nuances had it not been for you. What you are teaching me is much more refined and focused. I knew taking lessons from you was the right thing to do.

Teen student's mother:
As our praise and worship team at church is expanding I am ever more grateful for all the work you did with the girls on (hymn) improvising. It has reaped rich dividends that I never quite appreciated until I see others without the same training trying to accomplish the same thing. Your investment is a blessing to our church body and family.

College sacred piano major:
I learned more from you than from any other teacher including college!

Student Successes: Students from this studio have gone on to MAJOR IN MUSIC at Eastman School of Music, San Francisco Conservatory, North Carolina School of the Arts, Campbell University, Moody Bible Institute, Grove City and Gardner Webb.
Strengths: Ability to determine the root problem a student is having and design a solution using transferable principles that will enable the student to understand not only how to work with the problem at hand, but also how to solve future problems.

Enthusiasm for teaching!
